Terms of Service

By creating an account on Unne, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. About the Service
Unne is an online platform that connects emerging artists with non-gallery venues (such as cafés, hotels, coworking spaces, and other businesses) for the purpose of arranging art exhibitions. Unne is currently operated by its founders based in Finland. A Finnish legal entity will be established to operate the service before commercial launch. Unne provides a discovery and communication platform. We do not act as an agent, gallery, or intermediary in any exhibition arrangement. Any agreements between artists and venues are made directly between those parties. Unne only provides the technical platform that enables users to discover each other and communicate. Unne does not participate in negotiations, contracts, payments, or logistics between artists and venues. Unne is currently operating as an early-stage pilot platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Unne. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Account Registration
You register using your email address via a magic link (passwordless login). You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account and for all activity under your Unne account. During registration, you select a role — either Artist or Venue. This role selection is permanent and cannot be changed. You agree to provide accurate information in your profile and to keep it up to date.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Unne only for its intended purpose: discovering potential exhibition opportunities and communicating with other users about exhibitions.
You agree NOT to:
- Provide false or misleading profile information
- Upload images you do not have the right to use
- Upload content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or harmful
- Use the platform to harass, spam, or contact users for purposes unrelated to art exhibitions
- Attempt to bypass platform features or security measures
- Scrape, copy, or extract data from the platform
- Use the platform for purposes unrelated to discovering venues, promoting exhibitions, or presenting artworks
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe may harm the service or its users.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
Your content — You retain ownership of all content you upload to Unne (including images, text, and profile information). By uploading content, you grant Unne a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and use your content within the platform and in promotional materials related to the service (such as social media, newsletters, and marketing pages). This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for materials already published for promotional purposes.
Platform content — The Unne name, logo, design, and software are owned by the Unne project and its founders. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.
Other users’ content — You may not download, copy, reproduce, or use other users’ images or profile content outside the Unne platform without their explicit permission.
6. Exhibition Arrangements
Unne facilitates introductions between artists and venues. Any exhibition arrangement, including dates, logistics, insurance, artwork handling, and financial terms, is agreed directly between the artist and the venue.
Unne is not a party to any exhibition agreement and bears no responsibility for:
- The quality, suitability, or condition of artworks or venue spaces
- Any damage to artworks, venue property, or persons during an exhibition
- Cancellations, no-shows, or disputes between parties
- Any financial arrangements between artists and venues
Both parties are encouraged to agree on terms in writing before proceeding with any exhibition. Artists and venues are solely responsible for ensuring that exhibitions comply with applicable laws, safety requirements, insurance obligations, and venue regulations.
7. Fees
During the MVP pilot period, Unne is free to use. We reserve the right to introduce fees (such as transaction fees for confirmed exhibitions or subscriptions) in the future. Any fee changes will be communicated in advance and will not apply retroactively.
8. Account Termination
By you — You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at hi@unne.io. Upon deletion, your profile, images, and associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
By us — We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your account is inactive for an extended period, or if we discontinue the service. We will attempt to notify you before termination where possible.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law: Unne is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Unne is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, or damages arising from exhibition arrangements between artists and venues made through the platform. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Unne in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Finnish law.
10. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will be resolved first through good faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be submitted to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) or to the courts of Finland.
11. Privacy
Your use of Unne is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Unne, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Unne after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Language
If these Terms are provided in multiple languages, the English version shall prevail in the event of inconsistency.
